YOUTH / HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETES
Our Youth/High School Program is based on the same principles as our Professional Program, but is geared toward the student athlete. We provide a high-intensity and motivational program that implements both safe and fun training methods to propel the developing athlete to the next level of athletic performance and improve confidence.
EVALUATION
Every athlete begins the program with a mandatory Physical and Dietary Evaluation. Strength, muscle imbalance, past injuries and flexibility and communication are assessed in order to determine the athlete’s personal program design. A comprehensive training program is prescribed, addressing the strength, power, and speed aspects of the athlete’s sport and position, as well as the mobility, flexibility and nutritional components of athletic performance. Programs are individually tailored to each athlete’s needs
STRENGTH TRAINING
One important result of strength training is increased physical performance. Muscles quite literally utilize energy to produce movement, functioning as the engine or powerhouse of the body. Strength training increases the muscles’ size, strength, and endurance, which contribute to improvements in our work, our favorite sports and hobbies, and our general day-to-day activities. Strength training also works to make our bodies less prone to injury. We aim for education of the muscles in order to help our athletes achieve their goals.
SPEED TRAINING
Almost any sport can benefit from a combination of speed and endurance. Most athletes spend the bulk of their training time focused on endurance, but speed training is a great way to kick your performance up a notch. Our methods focus on improving the athletes’ technique and conditioning with Maximum Speed Training, Acceleration Training, Deceleration and Change-of-Direction Training. Our speed training programs will lead to increasing speed, acceleration, power and efficiency.
FLEXIBILITY
A flexible joint has the ability to move through a greater range of motion and requires less energy to do so, while greatly decreasing your risk of injury. We focus on Dynamic Stretching and Conditioning—the foundation for a well-prepared athlete. We want our athletes to learn the most effective ways to improve mobility, balance, stability, and muscular/cardiovascular endurance, as well as the most efficient way to warm-up and stretch. We focus on flexibility in order to form a faster, safer athlete.
NUTRITION
Physical exercise is only part of the puzzle of getting fit. To boost your athletic performance and enable yourself to train to the best of your abilities, you need to sort out your nutrition. Becoming an elite athlete requires good genes, good training and conditioning, and a sensible diet. Optimal nutrition is essential for peak performance. We aim to help our athletes create good eating habits for a healthy lifestyle and increased performance.
