Trevor Harrison was born into a family of world-class athletes with sports in his blood. His father, Jim Harrison, played in the NHL and WHA for twelve years. Nicknamed "the Body Wrecker," Harrison holds the record for Most Solo Points (10) Scored in a Pro Hockey Game, an honor he shares with Darryl Sittler. His mother, Elizabeth Harrison, rode Equestrian at a top level in Canada. Trevor’s siblings also followed in their parents’ athletic footsteps; his brother, Justin Harrison, played hockey in both Canada and the USA and his sister, Ardin Tucker, attended Fresno State on a track scholarship and represented Canada at the Commonwealth Games in England as a Pole Vaulter.
As for his own sports background, Trevor has over ten years experience playing International and Premiere Rugby both at home and abroad. Having played in France, Japan, Spain, and New Zealand, Trevor is one of very few players selected to represent both Canada and the USA at international levels in Rugby. Trevor also led his talents to the local Tempe Old Devils, helping lead the team to a second place finish in the Division II finals in 2003.
Trevor’s rugby training led him into the Sports Performance Training field. He spent four years as Head Sports Performance Trainer with Power Train in Scottsdale, AZ and Lancaster/York, PA. Trevor also worked for five years with the NHL Old Boys, developing and running the Off Ice Program for Old Boys Hockey Schools and Clinics, one of Western Canada’s top Ice Hockey Schools.
He has worked with over sixty Professional Athletes from the NFL, the NHL, and the MLB. He spent the entire 2005/2006 Season traveling with players on the Super Bowl Champions Pittsburgh Steelers, privately working on muscle recovery, pain management and stretching, as well as strength maintenance throughout the season.
Trevor has been working with developing young athletes over the last ten years. He has trained over thirty elite college athletes, including Division I Football, Field Hockey, Tennis, and Soccer, and has also worked with hundreds of High School and Middle School Athletes, many of whom have gone on to play Division I, II and III College Sports.
As an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Trevor is continually striving for a comprehensive knowledge of human movement science, functional anatomy, physiology and kinesiology, as well as functional assessment and program design.
Working with young athletes and helping them to reach their full potential is Trevor's favorite part of his job. He feels there is no feeling more rewarding than helping someone to achieve their goals.
